Terms & Conditions

If someone collapsed in front of you…most people hesitate for a second.

That’s normal.

You don’t need loads of information.

You just need to know what to do first.

We keep our courses small on purpose.

It means you’re not just another face in the room. You get more time, more support, and a better learning experience.

The flip side is that spaces are limited. When someone drops out late, it is very hard to fill that space. So we have a few simple terms to keep things fair for everyone.

1. Booking

All courses must be booked in advance

Your place is confirmed once payment is received

Spaces are limited and allocated on a first come basis

2. Cancellations

We understand life happens. People get ill, work changes, things come up.

At the same time, we run small courses, so we do need a clear line.

10 days or more before the course: full refund or free reschedule

Less than 10 days: non-refundable

No-shows: booking is forfeited

If something unexpected happens, just reach out. We will always do our best to help where we reasonably can.

All timeframes are calendar days.

3. Practical Training

This is a hands-on course.

In real first aid situations, people are often cared for on the floor. Because of that, we train in a way that reflects real life.

You will need to:

Get down to the floor and back up again

Work from kneeling or floor positions

Perform CPR and other skills from these positions

Mats can be provided, but you do need to be able to take part physically.

Our training space is on the first floor and there is no lift access.

If you are unable to take part in these practical elements, please contact us before booking so we can advise whether the course is suitable.

4. Health & Suitability

By attending, you’re confirming that:

You can safely access the training space

You’re fit enough for light physical activity

You will inform us of any injuries or medical conditions that may affect your participation

If you’re unsure, please get in touch before booking. We’ll talk it through with you and help you decide if it’s the right fit.

5. Assessment & Certification

This isn’t about ticking a box. It’s about leaving with skills you can actually use.

To be certified, you’ll need to:

Take part in the practical training

Demonstrate the required skills

Complete knowledge checks

If you’re not able to meet the required standard, we can still record that you attended, but we can’t issue certification.

Instructor decisions are final.

Some courses have minimum age requirements set by the awarding body, so please check before booking or ask us if you’re unsure.

6. Behaviour

We keep things friendly and supportive, but we do expect people to:

Follow guidance

Act safely

Respect others in the group

If someone is putting others at risk or being disruptive, we may ask them to leave. No refund will be given in that situation.

7. Risk

Training is supervised and designed to be safe, but it does involve physical activity.

By attending, you accept that there is a small risk of minor injury or physical strain.

8. Hygiene & Equipment

We take hygiene seriously.

All training equipment, including CPR manikins, is cleaned between sessions. We may also use cleaning wipes or similar products during training.

If you have sensitive skin, allergies, or concerns about cleaning products or close contact during practical work, please let us know before the course so we can discuss suitable options.

9. Parking

On-site parking is available, but we cannot guarantee a space.

It’s usually pretty good on Fridays and weekends, but please allow a little extra time just in case.

10. Certificates

Certificates are issued after successful completion

Please make sure your details are correct

Replacement certificates may carry a small administration fee

11. On-Site Training

If we come to you, we’ll need:

A safe, clean space

Enough room for practical training

Reasonable access for equipment

If the space is not suitable, we may need to adjust or reschedule.

12. Changes

Sometimes things change.

We may need to adjust dates, venues, or instructors. If we cancel a course, you’ll be offered a full refund or another date.

13. Liability

We take care in how we deliver training.

However, we are not responsible for:

Minor injuries or physical strain resulting from participation

Loss or damage to personal belongings

Nothing here removes or limits any rights you have under UK law.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

One of the people we trained had to step in when someone collapsed.

No warning. No time to think.

They didn’t overthink it.

They just followed what they’d learned.

That’s what we train for.
